Kulima Madison, JC
Morgan Madison

This past October 2004, our Ch. Ukukhanya Neema Morgan, bred  by Dr. Shura Burgreeff, DVM (California), was bred to our Kulima Madison, JC, our South African Import.

Morgan is out of Int'l/AKC Ch. Nomvuyo Tikkun, a bitch imported from South Africa by Dr. Shura Bugreeff.  Tikkun easily completed her championship and was awarded BEST OF OPPOSITE at the Orange Coast RR Specialty.  Morgan is sired by South African/American Ch. Karoskloof Bayezana Naka, a dog leased from Africa, by Dr. Bugreeff.  While in the US, Naka completed his AKC championship and won WINNERS DOG at the Orange Coast RR Specialty.  Morgan is a sizeable male, large boned, black nose-black mask, with sound structure, excellent feet and wonderful temperament. His coloring is Dk. Red Wheaten with no visible white markings.  To view more information about Morgan, .

Madison is our South African Import out of  Kulima Kennels and Nomvuyo Kennels (owner, Janet Wang, breeder and International Judge).  Madison is grad-sired by  AM/ZIM CH Globe's Roving Red Regent (liver) and SA/AM/ZIM CH Nomvuyo Nozuko Madison is a moderate size female, red wheaten with a liver nose and no white.  She has a nice top-line, front and rear with nice clean movement.  To view more information about Madison, .

The mating of Morgan and Madison produced progeny designed to meet the function for which Ridgebacks were designed; form, which conforms to the RR Standards; and to be healthy loving family companions for life.  Our aimMorgan and Madison is produce dogs of solid bone structure, fluid movement, balanced proportions, gentle temperament and the rich coloring that we love so well.

At iMBUKA Ridgebacks, we are not a commercial kennel.  We are owners and lovers of the ridgeback breed.  Even though, we are just beginning our breeding program, we want to maintain breed qualities and the overall improvement of the ridgeback breed.  We are honored by the love and devotion given us by our dogs and would like to share that same love and devotion with other families.

Our Goal is to be selective about what we breed and when we breed.  We want to enjoy the benefits of a good breeding program with the dogs we keep and those we place with puppy homes.

Our Objective  is to give back to the breed.  To do this we have made a life long commitment to their health and as future puppy owners, so you will be required to do a series of health testing of your wards. Only this way we can understand the result of our breeding program.  These test are:

  1. At Two years of age - OFFA, thyroid, cardiac check, hips and elbows, and eyes - Cerf.

  2. At Five years - Eyes and thyroid

  3. At Eight years - Eyes and thyroid

With this information, we can better assist you with the health of your dog and adjust our future breeding program.

Our Commitment is to excellence. This means we strive to breed champion confirmation/performance quality dogs.  If we have six puppies, we expect six to be confirmation/performance quality, because we put so much effort in to breeding quality and not quantity.  To support this effort, we  expect these dogs to be shown to their AKC Championship.  Should you receive a performance only puppy, you are still required to health test your dog for the duration as outlined above.

If you are interested in future litters we may have, please complete the Puppy Inquiry Form  or email us at PuppyInfo@imbuka.com.
